Frankie and Johnnie's New York Pizza - Pasta Pizza

I've been here a few times because it's the cheapest option where I go on the Sunset Strip (Hollywood for those who don't know).

Last two times I've gotten cheese pizza here but haven't reviewed it because it's... cheese pizza.  I'm probably not going to do many more reviews on topping-less pizza unless it stands out.

After waiting about 20 minutes, I ended up getting the last slice of pasta pizza they had sitting out.  What is pasta pizza?  Well, it's basically pizza with a bunch of spaghetti as an interior topping, and cheese on the exterior.  I've never seen a place with it so I got it.

If there's two things tacographics is a fan of, it's texture and not having to use utensils to eat something.  This delivered in those respects. As for the pizza itself, it was standard  but could have used more sauce.  It had a few basil leaves on it for presentation.  I later took those off and coated the pizza in oregano and parmesan for more taste.

Domino's Pineapple Chicken/BBQ Philly Pizza DOUBLE REVIEW

Over the weekend Domino's was selling large two toppings for $5.99.  Back when they had their old (worst pizza chain) pizza I would have not given one fuck.  Since their re-vamp, however, Domino's has basically given a giant middle finger to Pizza Hut and Papa John's.

I got two pizzas to share with my brother while our parents were out of town.  Pineapple and chicken  (the best toppings on pizza FIGHT ME) and a creation I call the "bbq philly" (bbq sauce and double philly steak meat).

Aside from the rubbery-ish chicken (found at many chains such as Subway), this pizza was a taste explosion.  It had the sweet-salt-fatty combination not found in many foods.  The slathered-on sauce (tasted like Prego, but I think Prego is great so BACK-OFF) contained in a coat of non-greasy cheese topped with pineapple - SO GOOD.  The crust was above-average, especially the hint of garlic on the edge which added a dynamic.  With more "authentic" ingredients, this would be a 10/10 taste rating.

The bbq philly was not as mouth-watering, but still more than decent.  Domino's moderately sweet bbq sauce is nothing to write home about (who actually says that expression anymore?)  and the philly meat was akin to cooked roast beef (meh) but the garlic taste from the crust stood out more - when eaten in the same bite as the other ingredients - it was like a tasty bbq beef sandwich on a garlic roll.

Round Table Pizza Cheese Personal Pan Pizza

"Mods are asleep, post some CP" - immortal words echoed by the souls of the damned.  If you know what I'm talking about you're probably on the internet a lot, and nobody's judging you.  If you don't know what I'm talking about, CP is cheese pizza and we'll leave it at that.

After class I skated down to Round Table, almost ran over this retarded bitch who was on the phone NO BIG DEAL.  I've eaten there twice in the 4+ years I've been at school, because it's like $6 for a small pizza and it's just not any good.  I just was thinking, meh I'll try it to see if it got any better since the last time and write a review since MY OPINIONS OBVIOUSLY MATTER.

The first quadrant of pizza I ate was good, a nice blend of "rustic" sauce, cheese and crust.  The other 3/4's however, were just like I remembered.  Barely any sauce and a thick layer of moderately greasy cheese.  It's basically cheese bread.  NO THANKS, ROUND TABLE.  Maybe I'll get the garlic sticks sometime w/ a side of the marinara sauce.  That actually sounds good now, as I'm still hungry and need something to get rid of this bland cheese bread taste.

Welcome to Tacographics!

On this blog I will review various foods I eat, featuring REAL TALK analysis of various restaurant and homemade foods.  Tacos are obviously going to be the main dish I discuss, as they are an all around amazing food.  For the people who do not know me well, I may come off as a critical asshole at times but just remember: I do not take myself seriously and this is all for fun, when I use caps I am just putting emphasis on words, not actually SHOUTING!  I'll try to make my reviews entertaining.

Explanation of  rating system:

Fat rating (how fatty the meal was): 3/10

Salt rating (how salty): 8/10

Taste rating (overall satisfaction): 8/10

Basically if the fat and salt ratings are low but the taste rating is high that's a good thing, if they're high and the taste rating is low that is NOT good.

Origin of name: Tacographics is a term I invented which basically means the target audience (demographic, psychographic) of this blog is: 18-34 male/female, frugal/make low wages, intelligent/witty, introverted, and enjoy tacos/mexican food/other foods.

Oh, and I use a 2.2 mp camera phone for pictures, that's why they suck. If you would like to contribute to a Tacographics camera fund, I will gladly accept donations.

Jan 2013  Update - photos are better now, my camera phone isn't garbage anymore.
